PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Welcome to New Orleans and the 27th Annual Meeting
and Course of the International Clinical Cytometry
Society! Our Vice-President, Jeannine Holden, and
the Program Committee have put together another
outstanding Program. As in years past, the Meeting is
preceded by the Society’s Clinical Cytometry Course
– which is also organized by our indefatigable Vice-
President!
Educational programs are the heart of our Society.
This year we are continuing some of the most popular
educational features of our meeting, including the
Luncheon Workshops and Case Study Interpretation
session. The meeting this year also offers the
opportunity for continuing medical education (CME)
credit, as well as self-assessment modules (SAMs)
needed for physician recertification, and we encourage
you to take advantage of these opportunities.
We also have a great dinner planned for Monday
evening at Dickie Brennan’s Palace Café. Catch up
with all of your friends from the flow community, and
sample contemporary Creole fare!
I would like to thank our many exhibitors and
supporters. Without their generous contributions,
it would be prohibitively expensive to convene this
meeting. Please make sure to visit the Exhibit Halls
during the breaks, and learn about some of the newest
products available. Your attention and interest in the
exhibits provide incentive for the continued support of
our meetings by these companies.
Next year’s meeting will take place in Fort Lauderdale,
October 11-15, 2013. This meeting will also mark the
100th anniversary of the birth of Wallace H. Coulter,
whose Foundation has generously supported our
Society for many years. As always, we welcome any
suggestions for speakers or topics. Jeannine Holden
will be serving as next year’s Program Chair. Please
feel free to contact her or any ICCS Council member
with ideas.
